Realization 3.0. After a near death experience, Lucy realizes she had long denied her lacking in abilities far too long. She couldn't ignore it anymore, she couldn't hide behind the prestigious team Natsu that had enamored the country of Ishgar. She decides it's time to make a move on her own, to leave the guild she'd dreamed of joining since she could remember. She would come back and make them proud, that she promised as she took on a long journey to find her potential abilities. Not knowing she was grasping further into the magical world, what lay behind the Guilds, other individual teams known as Ferals.

You know what happens during the Tenrou island fiasco right? Well , this time, Lucy wasn't on the island. Instead, because of the grief of losing her guildmates, and ENVY of the others who still had their friends, she left the guild, while still holding a 'Large' secret. ( I have dropped two very obvious hints as to what sin she is, you should be able to guess.) After leaving the guild, she soon realizes that her old guild is still split up and she must go out on her own for the remaining 7 years. So, with that in mind, she goes to the white woods to rest for the remainder of the time, until the guild comes back. Although, when those seven years have passed, and Lucy has been woken up, she may need the help of her fellow sins to let her make amends with the Fairies. Though..........
