Anija walked back up to where Kema and Kam were sitting with a goofy smile. "Look at her, happy as hell she got her nigga back.." Kam tapped Kema's knee so she could look up. "I got you something." He told her pulling away, while she watched him curiously until he pulled out a pandora bag. Her eyes widened at the necklace with an infinity symbol in crested with small little diamonds. "How you even afford this kari?" She questioned, unable to take her eyes off of it. "Shit, my savings." He rubbed the back of his head that possessed his starter loc twists. "That was so nice of you, you didn't have too." She smiled softly finally looking at him, "Can you put it on me?" He stood behind her and she moved her hair out of the way as he put it around her neck and clipped it back together. Her hand immediately went to it. "I'm never gone take it off." She promised him turning to face him. "I love you kari." "I love you too, hone. Til Infinity." --- When an unfortunate sequence of events suddenly separates two bestfriends, Dakari and Honesty, with no plausible reason, it's shakes up the world of the two inseparable individuals. When honesty finds herself back where it all began, she discovers the hard way that Dakari no longer wants anything to do with her. The unexpected reunion rekindles unbearable memories of their deep connection and the painful separation that slowly but surely leads them back to each other. "How are you supposed to keep your man with your hair in that mess, Tamia?" "And has your hair been looking like that all week?" She went on talking about my hair now, considering it was blown-out instead of well kept, hot combed and straightened the way that she liked. "No, mama." I dragged, annoyed completely now with all of my peace gone in this moment. "I just got out of the shower and I just finished washing and blow-drying my hair." "I'm going to hot comb it and then flat iron it when I'm finished doing my skincare." "Yasin's not going to be home until tomorrow probably anyway." I threw in there but of course she wouldn't chastise him about why and where.

"You can't see the future. I might have a chance. You don't know for sure." He mumbled, making her expression soften. "M-my mom used to tell me t-that birds still sing even after a storm. Why shouldn't people feel as free t-to delight in whatever sunlight remains to them?" Samir stopped talking for a moment to regather himself so that he didn't stutter, but Nina froze completely. "You don't have to settle with him Nina. It's been five years an-and you're not a-as happy as you should be. You smile differently with me.. and you cry a lot with him. I just think that you deserve to enjoy your time with someone other than h-him for a minute because there's still sunlight out there for you too, even if you can't see it yet." How did he become her source of 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 so 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭π₯𝐞𝐬𝐬π₯𝐲? A short story.
