Junto con Sunset Shimmer y Rarity, forman un grupo conocido por su actitud arrogante y por meterse con los demás estudiantes, especialmente con aquellos que consideran "inferiores". Applejack, una chica humilde y trabajadora que vive en la granja familiar, se convierte en el principal blanco de Rainbow Dash, quien le pone el apodo despectivo de "La Granjera" y la molesta constantemente por su vida sencilla. Applejack no se queda atrás, ya que desprecia a Rainbow Dash por su arrogancia y por tratar a los demás con superioridad. Ambas se odian profundamente, y su rivalidad es evidente para todo el mundo en la escuela. Lo que comienza como una relación de odio puro poco a poco se convierte en algo más complicado. Rainbow Dash deberá enfrentar su culpa por haber lastimado a Applejack en el pasado, mientras que Applejack tendrá que decidir si puede confiar en alguien que ha sido su enemiga por tanto tiempo.
