Jedes Jahr suchen sich die Drachen einen Menschen aus und niemand weiß wofür. Doch als Crystal ausgesucht wird und er erfährt was seine Aufgabe sein wird, ändert sich alles. Er, ein Junge, soll das Kind des Kronprinzen bekommen. Abgeneigt von dieser Vorstellung wehrt Crystal sich mit allen Mitteln gegen den Prinzen.
