I thought he was going to sit back down, but he started leaning in, closer, and closer. My eyes widened with every centimetre that he tried to shorten between us and I jumped back. But he kept covering the distance, even when I kept stepping back. A few steps later, I found myself against the wall. I had nowhere left to go. He seemed to realise it too, a satisfied smirk spreading on his lips. His very kissable lips. He put both his hands against the wall, trapping my head between them. We were so close that I felt I was breathing in the same air he had exhaled. "Mio Dio," he murmured, and I closed my eyes, ready to let him do whatever he wanted, all reason be damned. I felt him lean in further, but instead of claiming my lips, he took his mouth towards my ears, "I will give you that loan, Ms. Rostenkowski.
