"Write on me, Luna?"
"What?" I ask in utter confusion. His eyes are full of hope, not hope that I'd find my diary. Hope that maybe he could help lift up all the weight drowning me. I've lost all belief in people, I'm scared of sharing anything with people because of the voices that tell me they'll all leave me. Or that they don't actually care. Or that I need to suffer alone. I'm terrified he'd leave me stranded. I fold my eyebrows together in a slight frown. His request doesn't feel true to me.
"Write on me."

Luna has spent years believing she's too broken to be loved.
Growing up in a home where affection is scarce, she has learned to survive by shrinking herself. She buries her pain in the pages of a diary, chases impossible expectations, and clings to the hope that at least one achievement, might finally make her enough. But when that hope slips through her fingers, so does her will to live.
On the night Luna decides she's had enough, a stranger steps in before she can make an irreversible choice.
Amari is everything she isn't. He is calm, patient, and impossibly kind. While Luna insists she's a burden destined to drive everyone away, Amari refuses to see her through the lens of her scars and offers her something she's never truly had before: a safe place to exist without pretending to be okay.
