This is because Freya is more attentive and involved in these particular conversations. Where as in the Thorfinn x Freya she was more on the sidelines with Thorfinn.

My writing style tends to be kind of like diary entries inner monologue vibes, with my protagonist generally darting back and forth on different tangents of thought which for me help the reader keep up with the context of the story, I apologise if you disagree with that as a style.
