This story take place directly after a failed genocide. Frisk feels like she is a horrible person as she struggles to save all the monsters again, and is ashamed to show her face to Sans. She pushes all her friends away from her believing that they would all hate her after what she did. Sans is conflicted with his feelings. He had good memories with Frisk, but could he forgive her after what she did?? IMPORTANT: Frisk and Chara are both female in this story. Sans can remember all past timelines, so he remembers Frisk's genocide perfectly. This is a Frans story, so if you don't like this ship then don't read the book. Frisk is not a kid in this story, she is around 16. Chara is a couple of years older than Frisk. Sans is a little older than Chara (also he's a monster so why are we questioning age?).
