Cuando Tobias Winston fue despedido de su trabajo tuvo que abandonar el departamento que alquilaba con su mejor amigo. Desesperado y decepcionado de sí mismo, se vio obligado a volver a casa con su madre. Afortunadamente su amigo logra conseguirle un empleo como Asistente de Limpieza en un hotel importante en Irlanda, país diferente al suyo: El Hotel Alec. La paga es buena y él se convierte en uno de los empleados favoritos del personal. Todo marchaba con normalidad hasta que un día llegó al hotel un huésped importante para dar un giro inesperado en la vida del nuevo empleado: El presidente del país.
