Perseus "Percy" Jackson was sure the Fates hated him. Why else would they end his mother's life, leaving him with nowhere to go and no one to turn to? At age eleven, Percy returns from his first quest to find his mother murdered by Gabe, leaving him to go into a group home to wait for adoption. Sadly, no one wanted the troubled kid that had been labeled a terrorist at one point (even if he was cleared later). Just when he thought things were hopeless, everything turns around for him. He gets a new home and a new family. He makes new friends, and, while he still has dangerous quests, he finds himself enjoying his life as the Second Prince of Atlantis.
