Growing up they were only taught one thing, Romano only. Anything else and you were a disgrace and deserved to die.
So when their mother is killed in "unforeseen circumstances," the Romano brothers showed no emotion, no sympathy to the four-year-old who had been the only survivor of the collision. Deciding instead on corrupting the child's mind with lies.
Little white lies.
Three years of neglect and betrayal from her siblings had left a mark on the youngest Romano. A mark big enough for Isabella Maria Romano to let them know that she, just like her mother seemed to have never been and will never be enough. She was simply a shadow of their twisted ideals. And shadows, she decided, could find ways to survive outside the light.
Ten years later she's known as Isa Martinez, a name that no longer carries ties to the Romano legacy, a disgrace to the Romano family, a mind corrupted with Little white lies.
