Even though he never found his Semblance yet, he had much aura, training, and support from many at Beacon. Life was good... ...but not everything lasts forever... Team RWBY and Azrael were clearing Grimm in the Emerald Forest, they stumbled on a large artifact on unknown origins and very advanced. They were about to call Beacon, until The Grimm ambushed them. During the fight, the artifact activated and opened a portal, and started sucking everything in. Yang would have been consume in the vortex, had Azrael not intervened. He caught Yang by her arm and planted his Scythe, Frost Reaper, in the dirt. He threw Yang back to the others, who were also keeping themselves from being sucked in. The girls were about the help Azrael, until an Beowolf, that was flying toward the portal as well, grabbed Azrael's foot. His grip was slipping, he knew he wasn't going to be able to make it, so he looked at the people he cared for and gave them a sad smile and a only said one thing to them. "Sorry guys...." He lost his hold...the portal consumed him and the artifact itself, it then closed itself off. Leaving nothing left...only a scythe of Team RWBY's most beloved member. Beacon was shrouded with mourning and sorrow, from the greatest lost they have ever had. The rest of Team RWBY and other students that have a crushes on Azrael having been grieving through months, and falling into deep depression. Having never had the chance to tell Azrael how they felt, and never will again.... Though...it's seems Azrael is following a new path he wouldn't expect...
