Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja × RWBY Randall "Randy" Cunningham is the Ninja, a warrior created by Ozma over 800 years ago in order to keep Salem locked away forever, protecting both the innocent and the relics. However, Salem cursed Ozma's Ninja warrior, giving them a Semblance of immense destructive power, "Tengu." Tengu is like a parasite, corrupting the Ninja until their untimely death. Ozma countered Salem's curse by blessing the Ninja with a powerful tomb of knowledge and wisdom, the NinjaNomicon. Randy was an ace Ninja, having been playing the role for two years before his Tengu Semblance took over, corrupting him. Tired of losing warriors to Salem's curse, the Nomicon took matters into its own hands. It locked away the Tengu deep inside, removing Randy's Semblance. In order to protect Randy from the Tengu's influence, the Nomicon mind-wiped Randy, removing all past memory Randy had about being the Ninja. Ozpin finds Randy in the middle of the Emerald Forest, only to learn his newest Ninja has no memory of who he is or about his duty. So Ozpin takes Randy back to Beacon in hopes of reviving the Ninja to keep the Tengu locked away forever. But when Randy's memories begin to return, and the Tengu is once again released, will the Ninja prevail and continue to prevent Salem from wreaking havoc on the world? Or will the Tengu prevail and replace the Ninja, becoming not only the key to Salem's return, but also her most powerful weapon?
