Alec Hardy X Reader my first x reader so bear with me

I love & miss Broadchurch! So I've decided to rewrite series 1,2&3 but with my own spin. Alec Hardy is going to have a relationship (Finally :-) ) therefore the story will focus on the relationship as well as the crimes. This is the story of what happened when Rose Tyler, with no means of her getting back to her own world decided to stop pining after the Doctor. She chose to get on with the life she had been handed and met a certain grumpy Alec Hardy at her newly opened shop in a town called Broadchurch and after a case of mistaken identity changed both their lives for the better. This was the first story I ever wrote, back in 2014 so a lot of things have since come to light since. The story goes between the characters points of view so some parts may be repeated. AU - Rose Tyler was a normal 27 year old from London who never met The Doctor. She lost the love of her life in an accident and vowed she'd never love again but then she moved to a small seaside town called Broadchurch and learned to love again with Alec Hardy, not realizing he looked like who she had told Alec was her dead fiancée until her mother points it out. What will she do? This is one of my earlier stories when Hardy and Miller were not so friendly and since publishing, certain facts have been established.
