They explain that he pulled a curse sword called Inetsu, and that it will cause him to lose his humanity. Izuku broke down crying from all of the pain, and suffering he suffered but Mihawk told him that he still can be a hero. He tells Izuku he will adopt him, and trained him to become a hero. Izuku takes this opportunity to go away and come back even stronger. He will show the world and his past he can be a hero. He won't longer be Izuku Midoriya but Ikki Kurogane
