Alec finally came out to Jace about his love for him after the fight for the Mortal Cup with Valentine. Yet he is still slowly recovering from his injuries he received from fighting with the Greater Demon Abbadon. Jace then becomes quiet, almost silent, around Alec not knowing how to respond to his confession and unsure on how to handle it. Jace loved Alec but he was confused on what way he did. Well Jace can't stay silent forever, especially when demons are released from the depths below and came to destroy the institute.
