The best way to celebrate the break between high school and college is a vacation where you relax and forget about everything horrible that happened over the last four years. There's just one problem... expense. Katie Gardner has worked every job under the sun to save for her trip to Hawaii but with only a few weeks to pay her dad back the rest of the cost, an ordinary salary won't cut it, so she takes the most undesirable job there is: Babysitting the Seven Stoll children. She didn't make the connection between the Stolls she was babysitting for and the Stoll she hated so much throughout high school until he tried to get out of helping her with his siblings. Now, she finds herself stuck with the personification of everything she hated over the last four years. At least its only for a few weeks... possibly longer. Everyone, even mortals, has a soulmate. It's the person you are destined to be with. To prove it, you get a tattoo at midnight on your 15th birthday. The tattoo is a symbol that describes your soulmate. Aphrodite got tired of giving everyone a soulmate the second they were born, and accidentally skipped some people. Katie Gardner can't wait to get her soulmate. She turns 15 in 2 days. Just in time for the annual soulmates dance the Aphrodite cabin throws. Could her soulmate possibly be her secret crush form the Apollo cabin? The one only her sister Miranda knows about. She knows one thing. It can't possibly be her worst enemy. She absolutely hates Travis Stoll. He pranks her everyday. He almost blackmailed her once, so she burned her diary at campfire. Midnight can't come any faster, and Katie isn't the most patient of girls. Travis Stoll is secretly in love with the girl who hates his guts. Everyday he dreams of her grass green eyes and beautiful brown hair. He already got his tattoo. It's her favorite flower, a daisy, with a stem the same shade of green as her grass green eyes. She hates him so much, that he pranks her everyday to get her attention. The soulmate dance is coming up. Travis knows Katie is his soulmate, so the dance is the perfect chance to prove it. I am not Rick Riordan, so all rights except a couple original characters and the storyline belong to him.

So...when you turn 14 you get a soulmate tattoo. All demigods and humans have them, because Aphrodite was bored. The thing is, if you don't find your soulmate 'till you turn 16, then it's gone and you don't have any clue about your soulmate. The tattoo glows when you touch your special someone. Let's see how this ends lol. All the characters belong to Rick Riordan. (I don't own the cover either :))
