Sasha has grown up with one certainty: She’s not normal. She sees things in the darkness that no one else can see. But having lost her parents as a child, revealing these abilities might mean the difference of a steady home, and a foster care system. Except one night, everything changes. After finding herself stranded on the wrong side of town, Sasha comes face-to-face with the beings she thought were myth. There she learns that the men of the shadows have a different set of rules, and they don’t always play nice. As danger rises up around her, Sasha's differences may be the only thing that saves her life. She must embrace what she’s tried so hard to hide, while resisting the thing her body craves most. Sasha has finally found her shadow men, and they will claim her life forever.

So this is my first attempt at a Divergent AU. Beatrice Prior is a military brat. She's been all over the world with her father, a General in the Marine Corps. Her father is currently stationed at Camp Lejeune while she attends college. She is unaware that her life is about to take a crazy turn when she takes place in a project to write to military men overseas. This is actually inspired by the true story of how my sister-in-law met her husband. I'm very proud of my brother-in-law who is currently overseas.

Moving to a new school sucks. Especially when your name is Beatrice Prior. But no one would expect... well, this. Between bullying and schoolwork and some drama with her family and friends, Tris is finding it harder and harder to handle this new life of hers. But maybe she can find a way to balance it all out. Maybe she can find a way to survive reality. This was originally written on IG and I transferred it over. The sequel is better I promise (mostly because it lacks a lot of grammatical and spelling errors, unlike this one).

It's customary for Gothic romance novels to include a mysterious girl locked in the attic. Hannah Smith just wishes she wasn't that girl. As a narcoleptic and the companion to an earl's daughter with a strange affliction of her own, Hannah knows she's lucky to have a roof over her head and food in her belly when so many orphans starve on the streets. Yet freedom is something Hannah longs for. She did not, however, want her freedom to arrive in the form of kidnapping. Taken by handsome Jack Langley to a place known as Freak House, she finds herself under the same roof as a mad scientist, his niece, a mute servant and Jack, a fire starter with a mysterious past. They assure Hannah she is not a prisoner and that they want to help her. The problem is, they think she's the earl's daughter. What will they do when they discover they took the wrong girl? A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: When I set out to write the Freak House series, I wanted to put my own spin on the Gothic novels of the Victorian era. I've always loved their creepiness, the secrets, and the romance too, but I wanted to see the story from the perspective of the character that is often present but never the heroine - the girl kept in the attic. I hope you'll enjoy this trilogy as much as I enjoyed writing it.
