Homestruck (adjective) 1. Lacking a singular or loving home. Cas Barlowe didn't like to think of herself as a foster kid; she preferred homestruck, a term of her own creation. The first families had been fine, but Cas hadn't fit their idea of what they wanted in a kid. They didn't want a slim, small, transgender, asexual child in their homes. Eventually word got around, and only a few would take her in. The kind that wanted her for the money that the state offered. Her current foster father was an alchoholic living off of his pension. He wasn't a good man. But Cas had a plan. She promised herself, that once November 16th passed, she would never be homestruck again.

It had been four days since Claire's tragic death. At the "hands" of Oliver and Zip. The prank that went too far. It took a toll on Engel. Engel had been quiet, almost too quiet. His heart dropped when he saw Claire's body torn apart by Alice. It was like a part of him was missing now that Claire was gone. Engel, and his last remaining friend, Bubble, despised Zip and Oliver, with every fiber of their being. But little did they know that somebody hated Zip, even more than anyone else.
