Millie is a popstar, who produces one hit after the other and fills the stadiums of the country. Finn is an indie rock musician, who plays in little clubs, and overall lives his life to the fullest. It's all about the music, even if that barely pays the rent. He doesn't care about anything and for no one, basically living the sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll lifestyle to an unhealthy extent, loosing himself in the intoxication of the night. One night the two of them meet, causing their lives to intertwine unexpectedly. Will this help Millie to find back to her true self and Finn to take responsibility for his own life?

In the fall of 1947, two worlds collide when WWII veteran Finn Wolfhard's motorcycle breaks down, leaving him stranded in a small, Wisconsin town that is the temporary home of London-native Millie Brown, a twice widowed mother of three. When the two meet, their friendship sets both of their minds off, reconsidering what they previously thought their lives would be and what opening up their hearts could mean for them and those who care for them.

Because with the first rays of sunshine any traces of the past hours would be gone and with it the rain would subside, taking the things it had silently witnessed down to its soil grave; if one was to be trusted, it was the rain, not to ever speak about any of this to a single soul... I got inspired by Finn's new song "Trailer after dark" and wanted to write something that came to my mind while listening to it. This is pretty much a translation of the song into a fanfic/ a single scene and the focus lies on the scenery and the feelings the songs transported; the trailer, the rain, the loving, the desperation. It purposely doesn't include any specifics about the who and you can decide for yourself if this is about Finn with someone or if these are two fictional characters (modern AU Mileven for example) or if these are two faceless strangers in the night.
