My heart hammered against my chest as I saw who was standing infront of me. I thought I had enough time to flee, guess not. I looked behind his back intending to run through the door, away from his heated gaze. "Don't you dare." His voice still made me cower in submission, even after all these days. "I won't tell what happened between us to anyone, sir. Please, let me go." "Never. I don't fucking care even if the whole world knows about us." There was that stubborn, harsh edge in his tone that ended any protest before it could rise in my throat. I had to get out of here before he did something I would regret. "I told you to wait until I came back didn't I?" Yes, he did, but that was the only chance I had to run away from his shackles and I wasn't no fool to not take that chance. Even if I was regretting it now. "Nothing can happen-" "Strip." His command made my reasoning with him pause. "Wh-what?" I didn't mean to stutter, but I was also one second away from fainting on the velvety carpet. "You know it won't take me a second to tear that pretty dress off of your body, so don't make me come there." I knew he could tear it off without even getting one hair out of place. As it wouldn't be the first time he would be doing so. ⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘ [18+] Diamonds always stay hidden. It is us who have to find them.

You and your family came to see me-I said no. Baat khatam. Rishta kahin aur dekh lo. And LEAVE. ME. ALONE!" My chest heaved with emotion, my vision blurred with tears I was trying hard not to let fall. But he didn't even blink. He simply looked at me with that dark, unreadable gaze... and then moved toward me, slow and steady, till I was pinned between his car door and him. No one could see us like this. He leaned in, caging me with his arms on either side of my head. His breath brushed against my skin as he whispered, "You don't wanna marry me... hmm?" I looked away, panic flaring again. He tilted his face, locking eyes with mine. "Bolo." I whispered, "No..." A cruel smirk curled on his lips. "Toh phir kis se karni hai shaadi?" he whispered. "N-no one..." He straightened up-now towering over me-and then, without warning, grabbed my waist and lifted me off the ground. My hands were caught between us, pressed to his chest. "A-Aahan-what... what are you-" I stuttered. "Shh," he murmured, lips brushing against my cheek. "You've said enough. Ab suno." "We're getting engaged in one week. Then the rest of the rituals. And after that," he paused, tightening his grip on my waist, "we'll get married." "Chahe tum khud mandap tak aao... ya main tumhe zabardasti le aaun. Samajh aaya, jaan?"

𝐀 𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐓 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐑𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃'𝐒 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑. Book 1 in "Dark Fate" series. "They say you can't choose who you fall in love with, and he couldn't agree more. His sister's best friend had captured his heart, and he was consumed by his obsession for her and now, he knows he would never be able to let her go because she belongs with him." • ✧ • There's a kind of love that feels like sunlight - warm, gentle, safe. And then... there's his. It's not cruel. It's not loud. It's something far more dangerous - quiet, calculated, all-consuming. He was my best friend's brother. The man I was never supposed to notice. He watched from the shadows, memorizing me without ever needing a single word. I never really knew his name... but he knew everything about me. My fears. My patterns. My dreams. Even the parts I hadn't yet discovered myself. He's always been there, just a step behind-waiting, watching, wanting. And now, he's no longer waiting. He calls it love. I don't know what to call it, only that it pulls me in like gravity - unavoidable, inescapable. There's safety in his arms, yet danger in his silence. Gentleness in his touch, yet fire in his gaze. And somewhere in the tension between fear and longing, I find myself unraveling. Because the scariest part of being wanted like this... Is realizing you might want them back.

"Millions of reasons, Tanya. All perfectly legal, or perfectly arranged to seem that way. I don't make threats. I explain consequences." He stepped close to her again, cupping her chin with his hand. His touch was like ice. She was too terrified to pull away. "So, you will sit tight. You will go to your school. You will teach my nephew. And you will look very, very pretty while doing it. You will not make me angry again. Understood?" A single, hot tear of pure, helpless rage escaped and traced a path down her cheek. He saw it. His dark eyes glittered with a perverse kind of satisfaction. He leaned in, his lips brushing her cheekbone where the tear had fallen. The kiss was chillingly soft, a brand of ownership. "You see?" he murmured, his breath warm against her skin. "You look so pretty when you cry angrily. Like a good girl who finally understands her place." ___________________________________________ Love is a lie they tell to make obsession sound pretty. #𝟐 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐞 ✦ 𝐀 𝐓𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𓂃⋆.˚ She was light-too blinding, too pure for a man like him. He was darkness-cursed, dangerous, and utterly obsessed. He was a man of power, feared and worshipped in the same breath, ruling over the world of shadows where morality was a myth and sin was the only language spoken. Love? That was for the weak. He didn't do love. He didn't believe in innocence. Until her. She was untouched by the darkness he thrived in-a vision of purity, a forbidden fruit he had no right to crave. But the devil had never been one to deny himself temptation. And she... she was his greatest one. She should have run. He told her to. Instead, she stayed, unaware that the moment she stepped into his world, she became his. His to ruin. His to cherish. His purest sin. And now, even if heaven came calling-he'd rather burn than let her go.
