After taking a terrible tumble down the stairs, Rosaline is left battered and bruised, but ultimately, alive. She is rescued by a friend she thought to be dead, which leads her to meet a very powerful man whom she knows will provide her protection, food, and could also lead to her finding Daryl again. Daryl blames himself for 'killing' Rosaline, and wants to forget everything that ever happened. But with Rick and the others to answer to, he must relive his regrets and explain just what happened. He becomes withdrawn, keeping his distance from others, even his own brother, Merle. It isn't until the unexpected happens that Daryl finally becomes himself again; even if not for long.

The majority of the characters belong to AMC's The Walking Dead. This was based and inspired by The Walking Dead TV show. The story is set in Season 3, after Hershel's farm is overrun (So if you haven't got that far please do not read to avoid spoilers about who's alive or not). After that, the story swerves off in a different direction and the rest of the events belong to me. Alone in an apocalypse, Yasmine has to survive, at least she'd found the most friendly mode of transport, her horse Starstruck. How will she live through rabid zombie monsters?
