Fascism breached the shores of Czechoslovakia in 1939. The government becomes a puppet state and agrees to fight for the Nazi's and give up Jewish citizens for death and worse. Slavic partisans and rebels, alongside Slavic jews, fight back and try to win their people's and country's freedom. This is a great horror that sends a shock to the hearts of sisters, Ksenia and Jana, leading them to go from citizens to partisan rebels. But facing a horror face-to-face brings them to realize they aren't safe enough to fight with their fellow partisans anymore; they need more to help fight, more support. A bargain is struck with the Americans, leading to the women being smuggled out of Europe to Britain and America, where they are chosen to aid the 101st Airborne in taking back Europe and ending the war.
