We all know what happened to Varian in the first season of "Tangled: The Series." He became the villain, was defeated by Rapunzel, and thrown into prison for a whole year. Yes, he redeemed himself and returned for the third season, but the lack of his presence was felt by fans everywhere throughout the entire second season of the show. So what would have happened if he had redeemed himself sooner and been there for the gang's life-changing journey throughout the second season? How would he have reacted to all those adventures he missed? Find out in this AU fanfic! You will see how he deals with his still-suspicious friends, his unrequited crush on Cassandra, and his search for a way to free his father. "Next stop, anywhere!" (Note: All rights go to Disney. A Cassarian Story Varian always knew that he cared for Cassandra. But he didn't realize how much until she was gone. Six long years after Cassandra leaves Corona, she finally returns. Varian is overjoyed, but she comes bearing terrible news. A strange dome has encased the Dark Kingdom, trapping its residents within... including Varian's father, Quirin. Traveling with Cassandra, and her unusual accomplice Abhu, to the Dark Kingdom, Varian plans on investigating the dome and freeing his father. But they discover that a terrifying creature there is the source. Nothing is known about this being dubbed the Angst. All hope seems lost, until a journal that once belonged to Abhu's long-lost father sets them off on a whirlwind journey to collect four special orbs in different locations. The goal? Uncovering an ancient mystical cavern that could show them how to defeat the Angst. Will they succeed? Can they work together? Will Cassandra ever reciprocate the love Varian feels for her? All of Infinity lies before them...
