As the door creaked open, a chill through the thick air, carrying the faint scent of candle wax and something far older something that didn't belong in this world. The room was dark, leaving the only flickering green light emanating from the candles and the strange symbols scattered on the floor. And there, standing in the center of the whole star of the candles, was the translucent figure of a boy she immediately recognised. His eyes pleading for a release only she could offer.
