Nico di Angelo is a normal 16 year old boy. Or so people thought. Behind closed doors, Nico is a depressed teen dealing with his abusive boyfriend Nathaniel. One day, the abuse becomes too much and Nico runs into the woods in seek of escape. What he didn't realize is, there is more creatures in the forest he's grown up near almost all his life. Will Solace is a normal 18 year old. In his world that is. Will is a werewolf. He is the heir to his father's throne. As the Alpha's son, he needs a mate in order to rule the pack and carry on the Alpha generation. But, each werewolf is linked with another person at birth. The parents have nothing to do with it. He was supposed to find his mate at age 16, but he hasn't. His wolf, Sol, has been saying he feels like the werewolf females are not his type. And when his parents allow him to meet werewolf males, he still doesn't feel any connection to any of them. When he sees a small male human brought forcefully into the pack, he suddenly feels something he hadn't felt before. A mate's connection. But, how would Will's pack react to having a human alpha? Will Nico adjust to werewolf life? This is how our story begins.... (This is my first ever fanfic. Please no hate. I do appreciate constructive criticism. I do not own the cover. The death of Nico's first and closest friend Jason Grace puts a sudden end to the sunshine that currently brightens Nico's life for once. His death triggers a lot of things for him, and shines light on a lot of his unresolved trauma. Will Nico be able to make it through this without his mental stability completely breaking once and for all? Will Nico be able to let people in enough to help him get through it? And what about the mysterious dreams that Nico keeps having of his mom? And who really is this little girl that knows nothing about her past? In this sequel to Out of the Shadows, Nico sees familiar faces and revisits past places, but at least this time he has Will along for the ride. Nico di Angelo and William Solace are dating and practically no one knows (somehow). The two of them have their ups and downs like every couple, but then Nico and Will get in a fight and Nico disappears that same day. It takes Will and a couple others on a journey to the Underworl to search for him. What will happen to him? What will happen to their relationship? What will happen to him if Will doesn't find him? And what will happen if he does? Could it only make things worse for the young gay couple?

Nico Di Angelo didn't exist. Okay, yeah, he did exist. But not really to anyone outside of his small friend group. And even then, he was a quiet kid. It was easy for him to almost disappear even when he was with friends. He kind of blended in with the shadows, with the background. Will Solace was pretty well known, however. He wasn't exactly a popular kid, per say, but he was one that everyone knew. Everyone had some sort of story about him, whether it was simply having a class with him, or having to witness him fall out of a tree.
