There's a war going on, and the Unlisted aren't winning against The New Generation of super soldier. Dan already had no one, but losing Phil, his closest friend, hurt more and over a month later he is still mourning. Flashbacks of memories don't make the pain lessen either. Dan Howell is a timid boy, who always does as he is told. He was once friends with Phil Lester, the 'bad influence' who soon ditches Dan for the popular group in Year 7.
