Relationships are fickle things- built on trust, communication, and mutual attraction. Any manner of obstacle can be thrown in the way, tearing both halves apart. But Jackson and Phillip aren't in a relationship.. right? They're just fuck-buddies who've been performing the same routine for almost a year, neither willing to stop dancing around the topic of what exactly they mean to one another. It's good stress relief, considering the strain their job leaves on them- and who really needs all of the soft, frou-frou things that came with relationships? Well, they may not want it, but they may just need it after a snap judgement on Jackson's part leaves him reluctantly in the hands of the man he'd hoped would be last on the willing list of people he needed to rely on. --- I don't think I've written a proper fanfic in years, and it's been at least 8 years since I've tried publishing anything here, so updates will be at my leisure. I'm going to gun for one a week, but we'll see. All characters mentioned (save for Jackson, my dearest boy) belong to Activision.

Slow burn, enemies to lovers fanfic. "Touching you was a bad idea." "The worst you've ever had." "Maybe I should stop." "If you do, I'll never forgive you." What happens when a blast from the past is the reason I get reassigned to Task Force 141? I was very clearly NOT what the men of 141 were expecting. I am not the man they thought was joining their group. Chaos ensues as we are tasked with tracking down four stolen missiles. Being teamed with these men was not what I was expecting. Especially catching the eyes of two notorious masked men.

141 Mafia!AU Mob Boss!Price x Singer!Reader -- Your father had told you stories of the famous club, The 141, when you were a child; you remember the admiration- and *jealousy*- that laced his voice as he weaved tales of smoky backroom poker games and men who'd skin you alive for looking at them wrong. You hadn't believed him then, assuming it to be like all the other fairytales and war stories he told from that worn leather armchair- exaggerated tales meant to teach you lessons he himself never followed. Now that you're here, though... You'd expected better security.

Rebecca Cross, a wartime journalist, gets sent out to rural Peru. Here, her security unit gets taken out almost on arrival, leaving her stranded at the local US Embassy. At the Embassy, she meets Task Force 141, led by John Price. TF141 agrees to replace her security unit, in exchange for her inside knowledge about the ongoing conflict in Peru. Additionally, all flights out of the area are cancelled, which leaves both parties stuck in the midst of civil war. With nowhere to go and nowhere to turn to, Rebecca accepts her dependence on the men of TF141, even if their Lieutenant 'Ghost' seems fully on board with leaving her to die.
