Annaleigh (Leigha) is 17 years of age and has around been by herself for 2 years. Leigha has no family, no friends, no parents, and no home. She attends a school with bad qualities but one day she meets a boy, Jax White, who will turn her life around.

Olivia's best friend is not imaginary. He’s not a ghost, either. And she's pretty sure he's not a hallucination. He’s just Mason. He is, however, invisible. When Olivia spotted the crying little boy on her front porch at five years old, she had no idea she was the only one who could see him. Twelve years later when new-girl Robin bumps into the both of them and introduces herself to Mason, they are both stunned. Mason couldn't be more pleased that someone else can see him. Olivia, on the other hand, isn't jumping at the chance to welcome Robin into their circle. Jealousy may have something to do with that, but honest fear that Robin's presence will put Mason in danger is soon validated when a strange black car begins showing up everywhere. The race to find out what Robin knows in time to protect Mason from whatever threats are coming becomes Olivia's only focus.

It disgusted me to think that any person was even capable of seeing this atrocity, but to think the person responsible for all this was sitting next to me; a soft smile planted on his face. "Not a world with you in it." I answer, the words stinging to my lips. A small chuckle fell from him. "Don't you see, darling," He starts making his crazed eyes loom over my face. His parents are offering half a million dollars to whoever take a up on the offer. Nova's parents jump at the offer, making their daughter take the position of his wife. The two clash when they meet, immediately hating each other. they despise every last bit. He's a disgusting jerk who doesn't care about anyone but himself. She's a stuck up baby who is a goody-two-shoes. But they'll have to sort everything out when they hear his parents' first words to the married couple. "We want you two to have a child."
