Taking place right after the events of Octo Expansion, Agent 4(Amy) gets an unexpected new roommate. Her name is Crystal(Agent 8), and she had just moved to Inkopolis, and being the first Octoling to do so(other than Marina) she hopes to leave her past behind. But when DJ Octavio escapes, and forms a new plan to take over Inkopolis, the two must form an unlikely alliance to stop him, once and for all.

The fate of all Inklingkind hangs in a hidden balance as a secret war between the New Squidbeak Splatoon and the eight Elite Octobeak Squadrons threatens to turn life on the surface upside down. It's all up to three Inklings and their Octoling archrival to save the world as we know it!
