The Red Army is near its goal of taking over the whole world. When Tom and Matt end up in Tord's hands they're 'fixed' from their brutal wounds. On the other hand, Edd is now at large, trying to plan to kill the Red Leader because Edd thinks that Tom and Matt are missing or have become POWs (Prisoners Of War).
