Alex is known on her own as the horse whisperer having worked with well-known horse breeders ever since she was a young girl, due to her Mom's rather well-established connections whereas Amy focused more on her social life. Alex did most of her schooling online and she continues to do that, at least until she gets forced into a social life. Other then her work on the jump circuit with her horse, Winter. But everything changes when her mom is killed in an accident and her sister ends up in the hospital.

After a few weeks off, Ty returns to Heartland Ranch with a friend. She's pretty brunette, Blair Conner. Ty's longtime girlfriend Amy is not happy to see Blair. Things get worse from there, Ty & Amy break up, and he moves away........to another country. Amy has no idea where Ty is. Will she climb 100 mountains to find him?? Only love knows.

Ty kisses Amy for the first time, then leaves her a letter & disappears. She's heartbroken and angry. Four months later Ty shows up at Calgary General Hospital, unconscious & beaten up by a gang of thugs. A nurse finds Jack Bartlett's name & number in Ty's wallet and calls Heartland Ranch the night of Amy's 16th birthday party. Jack leaves the party unannounced and visits Ty. Jack returns to the hospital the next day and asks Amy to come. What will she do?? Will love or anger control her heart??
