... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!

Gwen Bradbury has seen the end. Gwen Bradbury has learned fighting again. ****** Gwen Bradbury's life is torture to her. She is floating above everyone else. Her existence is like a void, eating her up from the inside, little by little every day. Gwen wants freedom. She wants to escape. But she is not one to give up. The darkness and demons can't do anything to her, not again. She will fight till she can't take it anymore. Oliver Carlson isn't your typical boy next door. He isn't the popular bad boy with a dark past you will find in every book. Oliver is not cocky, not famous, not one with eight pack abs. He is quiet, silent, hiding in shadows, away from everyone else, on his own. He has learned to keep to himself, build his suits of armors up, and shut everyone out. Nobody really knows him. He doesn't care. What hurts is that when his popular brother Owen Carlson gets everything he wants, leaving Oliver nothing. So when Gwen Bradbury unintentionally unexpectedly crashes into Oliver Carlson's life, she tries to convince him that life is beautiful with her broad smile and crazy endeavors. Oliver does quite the opposite by shutting her out on the outside but maybe secretly slowly letting her own a piece of his heart. But what happens when both Oliver and Gwen are faced with disasters that make their second skin fall apart in front of their eyes abandoning only the truth? "This book is the perfect mixture of deep and hilarious. I'm in love with that" - crackhead4ever Teen fiction has given cheerleaders a bad rap. And stereotypical appearances. Courtney knows this. She is a cheerleader. Is she a pretty blonde with blue eyes? Well, yes. Is she popular and perky? ...okay. Yes, again. Is she stuck up and cruel to others for no reason? Ha! There! No to that one. In fact, she's worked for years to portray the perfect image of an upbeat, easy going person. An image that gets harder to hold on to when: The new girl takes an instant dislike to her. Her best friend decides to run against her for Senior Class President. Her football team captain boyfriend breaks up with her. And, oh yeah, she humiliates herself in front of the whole school. Yup, that perfect image is falling apart. "I love how this book is different from other teen fiction books It's like a breath of fresh air from the same old tropes😄 💕" - LaraAmethyst "I loooove this book so much already aghhh" - therealbhavie "I'm hooked- I- I think that's all im gonna say before I run to read the next chapter" - grumpymood "So excited for the next chapter! Characters are complex and unique, the plot continuously thickens, and I'm already waiting to see what happens next. I can't wait!" - Rspicy #1 in TeenLife #2 in TeenLove #5 in TeenFiction

{𝘉𝘖𝘖𝘒 𝘖𝘕𝘌 𝘖𝘍 𝘛𝘏𝘌 𝘓𝘖𝘝𝘌𝘓𝘌𝘚𝘚 𝘛𝘙𝘐𝘓𝘖𝘎𝘠} Ria Romano knew hurt like the back of her hand. She was dealt her fair share of bad cards, more than anyone so young should have to face. A cynical girl riddled with the remnants of her past, a shattered sort of soul. She concealed like it was second nature; her instinct being to suppress. She'd offer you a cigarette with a shrug while you were crying because she never was too great with affection. She didn't smile so often but when she did and it was directed at you, you'd never feel such satisfaction. I was told Aria preferred to be alone, isolated; clouding her mind with inhales of her cigarette and drowning it in alcohol. Until she was dealt her good card, out of the pack of bad. They had a love beautiful enough to last a lifetime, the type directors desire to capture and authors aspire to write. Two souls, shattered by the cruelty of the world time and time again with flames that rekindled each others. They were each other's oxygen. They breathed life back into each other, those two insomniacs. <3
