In 2025, 152 years after magic essence flooded the world and shattered the old world, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka enrolls in Advanced Nurturing High School; an elite academy on an artificial island where essence users train to become society's future leaders. Assigned to Class D alongside students labeled as "defective," Kiyotaka keeps his head down, claiming only a weak void affinity and minimal combat ability. His classmates struggle with their own flaws: Horikita Suzune's superiority complex, Sudou Ken's poor emotional control, Kushida Kikyou's hidden darkness. But in a school where strength determines everything and essence beasts lurk in the island's wilderness, staying unnoticed may prove harder than anticipated.

This is a reaction fanfiction, following Class D (and others) as they react to 'The Blue Lock Masterpiece', in real time to Ayanokoji's strategies, plays, and growing presence in Blue Lock - all set shortly after the events of the Class Poll Exam in Year 1. Light-hearted, hype moments mixed with sharp reactions, misunderstandings, and the slow realisation that the "gloomy" student might be anything but. Many students enrolled in the school are out to reach the top, also known as Class A, which boasts a letter of recommendation that could change your life for the better. Placed in Class 1-C, Ayanokouji must grapple with the unique challenges presented by high school meangirls, tomboys, and wannabe dictators, all while trying to have a peaceful life.
