But the days grew dark in Middle Earth, with Sauron's forces remerging from their slumber. Varilerin was forced to step out of her fear and join the Fellowship to destroy the Ring. Yet, as she had repeatedly learnt, her journey would end not as planned, and being loved was not what she had expected A story of love, courage, and hope.

War is brewing, and the people of Middle Earth are preparing for it. Among them is Averael: a Ranger from the North, and one of the last of the Dunedain. While on her way to Gondor to ask for help from the Rangers in the South, she happens to run into a mysterious stranger at an inn, and accompanies him and four hobbits on their journey.
