My mother died and my father went a little bonkers. Sounds bad, doesn't it? It's not. Not for me. I have never related to my father more than I do now that he's blood thirsty and 'childish', and takes what he wants unapologetically. Though I'd say he's more responsible and in control than me, considering that he managed to build an empire in the middle of the apocalypse. While he does all the business I'm just living my best life here, doing what I want with power over everyone and everything, rolling in silk bed sheets and warm bodies. Though one thing is missing. Dirty, worn out guy that looks at me like I'm a piece of shit stuck to the bottom of his shoe, but when he looks at me with those pretty blue eyes, I can't help but follow him into the place where I'm falling to the bottom of the food chain, looked down upon and cursed, hated. All to be close to him for one more minute.

Growing up in Michigan, the boring mitten shaped state, Eleanor was more of a loner. Before the apocalypse started Eleanor Brooks had the most boring life. She lived next to a power plant, she had no friends, decent parents, only focused on her studies so she could graduate. She got into an Ivy League school and was even going to go to college, then everything turned to shit. The dead started coming back to life, roaming the streets, eating the living. The power plant beside her home blew up causing her and her family to be exposed by the chemicals, the dead broke into her home and she got bit. Their father went off to hunt by himself in the worst time possible losing touch with his sons when outbreak started and their little brother abandoned them few years back to go and "live his own life" leaving his family and family business of hunting monsters and saving people behind to become a lawyer, so Lowell haven't seen him in few years already. But when undead decided to take a walk across the world, the first thing Lowell and Dean did was drive from Kansas all the way to Georgia to find their little brother as fast as humanly possible. Though their plan changed slightly when they stumbled upon the group of people that just lost a little girl in the woods and two Winchesrters decided to stick around for a few days to help with the search. Because that's what they do, save people. But only for a few days then they will go off again to find Sammy. Or as they thought. Because strangers become friends and as Lowell well knew; family doesn't end on blood, but it doesn't start there either, and one particular redneck is about to prove him that.

This book is based off of the TV show The Walking Dead. I don't own the storyline or any of the characters except for my OC.
