Lele is a 14 year old girl from Compton California, her parents got divorced when she was 7 years old! she lives with her dad and rarely gets to see her mother. she begins to think that her life is a drag and she is useless she is very I confident. her life all begins to turn around when her father gets a new wife..and a new brother..

So Jade is new to Compton after her parents divorcing, she's uncomfortable with the new move, especially bc of all the new changes going on in her life in the past few years. But after she meets a boy named Steven Fernandez, who she gets to have a crazy relationship with, she sees a new side to this trashy yet, beautiful city.
