As the war between gigantic monsters known as Kaiju and giant mechs named Jaegers to combat against them intensity, humanity is pushed to the limit. Even the Jaegers are not enough to kill the Kaiju, and humanity is on the verge of defeat. Mankind's last hope now lies within a group of former pilots, and an army of old, obsolete Jaegers. Declan James Crow was born in Woodsboro, California. His father was never listed, and his mother disappeared shortly after his birth, leaving him in the foster system. His childhood was often violent; survival meant staying quiet, observing, and never showing weakness. Teachers saw him as intelligent but distant, and classmates generally left him alone. At fifteen, he defended a girl from a bully; the fight ended with the boy's death, ruled self-defense. The event marked him, though he never spoke of it. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, excelling under structure and pressure. Later, he joined Army Special Forces, earned a Green Beret, and was recruited into Delta Force, where his precision and observation earned him the callsign "Crow." While on leave in Woodsboro, he met Kirby Reed at a bookstore. Despite their opposite personalities-her energetic, him calm-they balanced each other and married in 2017. Protective yet reserved, he saved her contact as "Horror Movie Crackhead." When the Ghostface killings resumed, Declan was home on leave. While others panicked, he saw a predator-and spent his life prepared to deal with exactly that.
