Lots of sinners came to Charlie's hotel for the right reasons because they finally believed they could be redeemed if they tried hard enough. And during those couple of months, he could not escape the teasing from Alastor, the Radio Demon. It annoyed him to no end, but Charlie always told him that eventually, they will get along.
