A Mahabharat Fanfiction Since birth, Bhargavi, the daughter of Subhadra, finds her mother all by herself. "Your father is alive!" Subhadra assures. "Then why hasn't he come back for us?" She thinks. "You have an older brother!" Smiles Subhadra saying. "Then why have I never heard of him?" She wonders. "Your uncles have never let your mother shed a tear." Subhadra praises her brothers as they walk to the temple barefoot. And all Bhargavi notices are the wounds on her mother's hand, due to overworking in the fields. "She is a Princess and her mother a Queen." She hears people gossip. "But don't Princesses live in palaces?" Bhargavi thinks, looking at the tattered roof covering her house. Join this journey of Bhargavi as she strives to learn her family's history. The history that her mother would die to keep away from her. Book 2 of the Kshatrani series. For Abhimanyu, she wasn't just his mother. She was his teacher, his guide, his protectress, and most of all, his best friend. But for Subhadra, this role of a mother was both new, tough, and demanding, given the fact she had to give her son a relatively normal childhood on the brink of a war in the years to come. Would she prepare a soldier or a weapon? Veer Abhimanyu- defined by his mother. A memoir of the woman who bore one of the greatest warriors the world had ever witnessed, the illustrious Princess of Dwarka. Abhimanyu-janani Subhadra.

"There is a place between awake and asleep that seems surreal and enigmatic. The place where you can remember dreaming. That's where I'll love you. That's where I'll be waiting." The tale often retold, through another set of eyes. The mother of all rivalries, breathed upon again, a little differently. Has been- #4 under Arsu

Subhadra, a little upset with her husband, vowed that she won't let the absence of a father effect her child's parentage. She taught Abhimanyu not to follow or hate blindly, that elders are not always right, But never in her nightmares, had she thought that this would separate the father-son much more than they already were, that Abhimanyu would only respect those who earned it, and not those who had right on it. Abhimanyu had only one goal in his life, to avenge the humiliation of his second mother, the one whom he had never met but just by hearing about her, grew to respect her more than his own biological mother. But when his mother's family, even his uncle, Krishna leave his curiosity unsatiated, he must turn towards someone else. But what choices does he have when that someone, after an initial period starts questioning his own belief? Witness how Subhadranandan, and third child of Arjuna transformed into the warrior he was at the time of the great battle. Present Cover Credits @4restmusic

What could it have been like for Subhadra when she discovered the love of her life, Arjuna himself, was living incognito under her care for four months and revealed himself before her with a bang? How would she have felt? What reaction would she have given? Romance really isn't given a huge priority in the epic and the same applied to the profound workings of Subhadra's heart and mind. So I wanted to take on it in my own way and write the episode through her eyes.

Out of the many intriguing characters peopling the Mahabharata, Subhadra is like a shooting star, with a short presence that is nonetheless impactful and a joy to behold. Here I reimagine how this sweet, benevolent and gracious princess' life might have been like.
