"Hey, don't make it obvious, but there are these guys behind us, and they've been checking us out for the last five minutes." Karla whispered, leaning over the table.
"I don't care about guys!" I whined. "I'm more worried about my asshole instructor. Like what's his deal? If my parents find out I've been failing all these tests, I'll never get a license, let alone a decent car."
Karla's eyes remained fixed on that table. "Um, I think one of them is motioning for us."
Without bothering to look, I flipped my middle finger in the general direction of the table behind me. Karla gasped, quickly reaching over to pull my hand down as a burst of laughter erupted from behind.
"Don't do that!" she hissed. "It's rude."
I rolled my eyes and finally turned around to see what their deal was. My eyes widened, and I instantly whipped back around, my hand flying to cover my face.
"Oh crap. I did not just curse him."
"What...?" Karla raised a brow, confused by the sudden change in my demeanor.
I gave her a mortified stare. "That's my instructor!"
