She came home early. She shouldn't have. Noa Reevse is a therapist. She spends her days sitting across from people in the worst moments of their lives, holding their pain with both hands, and sending them home better. She is very good at it. She is also, it turns out, very good at not looking too closely at her own. Until the afternoon, she opens a door she was never supposed to open. Fifteen seconds. That's all she records. That's all she needs. And then, a week later, she puts on a burgundy dress, walks into her husband's televised political forum, and raises her hand. She has the video. She never has to play it. His silence does the work for her. "Hurricane Season" is about what happens after the worst imaginable betrayal, after the divorce papers are filed, after the woman who taught everyone else how to survive the unsurvivable has to figure out how to do it herself. For readers who need their protagonist to be the storm.

Six years. Six years of love, loyalty, and quiet sacrifices while I healed from miscarriage after miscarriage. My husband, Kael, was my rock always there, always proving his love with gentle words and steady presence. Until the night, he looked me in the eyes and said: "I never loved you. Not really. I want your younger sister as my second wife." My own family nodded in agreement. They had known. They had always known I was never enough. I stayed silent through the pain, the humiliation, and the wedding I was forced to witness. But when his perfect new life begins to crack and he comes crawling back, begging me to return "for the family's sake," I finally understand: I was never the problem. I was simply the placeholder. Now? I'm choosing me. And they will all watch me rise from the ashes they created.

What happens when the one person you can't have... becomes the one you can't resist? --- I've lived my entire life under the spotlight. First, as the daughter and sister of hockey legends Joseph and T.J. Murphy. Then, as the youngest American in history to win Olympic gold in figure skating. Since forever, my world has been early mornings at the rink, medals, and a future I never thought I'd have to question. Until one fall at last year's World Championship ended my career... and destroyed every plan I had laid out in front of me. I came to Henley for a fresh start. I was going to be just Ollie. Your run-of-the-mill college student trying to figure things out. It was a solid plan... until Josh Jackson came skating into my life at full speed. Josh is quiet, intense, and impossible to figure out. The kind of guy who keeps everyone at arm's length, yet somehow still makes you want to get closer. Unfortunately for me, he's also my TA, chem tutor, and the one person I keep ending up skating with when the rink is empty every morning. Josh doesn't care about my last name. He doesn't treat me like I'm broken. And when he looks at me, I almost forget the girl I lost. The problem? This isn't allowed. If anyone finds out, Josh could lose everything. And no matter how badly I want him... I can't be the reason that happens. - A forbidden, grumpy x sunshine, slow-burn hockey romance - ****The Henley Boys is a set of standalone novels. Playing Offside is the third book in the series, but you can choose to read in any order!*****

Some flames don't burn-they blister quietly, leaving scars where no one can see. Tulip had always believed love was soft. A gentle breeze. A quiet blooming. Something that would one day arrive with kind eyes and warm hands. But when love came for her, it didn't whisper sweet promises. It came like a storm disguised as hope, wearing the face of someone she once trusted more than her own heartbeat. This is the story of how her innocence burned. ------ © 2025 TheGirlwithRedCloak. Gabriella showed up for him when it mattered most, believing she knew exactly where her life was going, until everything unraveled in a single moment she couldn't unsee. Walking away wasn't something she had planned, but it became the only choice she could live with. With nowhere else to turn, she leaves behind everything familiar and starts over in a quiet town that doesn't quite feel like home, trying to hold on to the part of herself that still feels like her. She tells herself it was the right decision, that some things can't be undone and are better left behind. But distance doesn't always bring clarity, and no matter how far she goes, the past has a way of following. Because some choices don't stay in the past, and some stories don't end just because you walk away. Updates weekly ✦

Havenwood #2 What should your fiance do when you called him because you crashed his favourite car? Ask how are you, if you're hurt, if you called 911 and more concerned filled words. What did he say though? He exploded, frustratedly, without asking me if I was severely hurt. I wasn't then, but I got hurt by the man my car bumped with, who beat me up thoroughly bad, I fainted right after. I always knew he loved his cars more than anything, but his words wounded me more than the man who attacked me. And with one horrifying incident I could see things clearly now. Maybe I had mistaken value all along, thinking I mattered more than his cars.
