This isn't a love story. Though I did fall in love, the outcome isn't what you'd think it'd be after pining for so long. I've grown to accept that, or at least I'm trying to, considering I still cry and feel low sometimes. No, this isn't a love story but actually a story of self-discovery and letting go of the past that has been holding you back, so that you can eloquently step forward into what the future has in store for you. This isn't a love story but actually a story about friendships that were meant to blossom into their fullest potential... and then there were the other friendships that simply weren't meant to last after all. This isn't a love story like I had wished it would be, and for a whole year and 8 months it completely ruined me. I know that someday soon I'll pick myself up and the one I've been searching for will find me. Who knows, maybe once you quit scheming every crevice of the love story you planned out in your head, maybe then a brand new love story you never expected will set right into place. For now, I may not be experiencing a bittersweet love story with a lover but I'm experiencing an equally thrilling one- a love story between music and I. The thrill to succeed and reach the top of the music industry, the thrill to express my gratitude towards my idols, and the thrill to someday soon collaborate and go on tour with my best friends. Right now, the thrill of this love story for music is all I need, even if I've been assigned the role of Miss Sweet Misery.

Our story starts in New York, where eighteen year old Rose Sinclair made it a secret well kept from her parents that she no longer has any ambition to head to summer camp. Despite officially being an adult for months now, she still fears disappointing them even though she knows that she'll never live up to their expectations. It seems that the only exciting part about this summer camp in these woods is a singing competition that will be held there, and perhaps some familiar faces-from her former high school- that will accompany her in this brand new chapter of adulthood. While running around the woods all alone, she falls upon a rusted journal and she whimsically takes it into the care of her own bare hands. To her nonchalant surprise, the journal Rose finds contains the untold early life story of retro actress Briar Rosenberg- and these well-kept diary entries don't hold back Briar's secretive past. What she learns is shocking but also comforting to know that despite having grown up in a different timeframe, Briar wasn't all too different from Rose and her group of musical rebel friends. As for Briar Rosenberg, an aspiring actress she could've been, and a movie icon she became. Her longing dream to be a household name on the big screen didn't become reality until she was casted with fellow family friend and actor, Julius Phillips, for their 1954 live action "Sleeping Beauty" film. After all the critical acclaim and praise they received, Briar became Hollywood's next "it girl", being casted in all the major roles in Cinema. But it seems as nothing is as it truly seems... years later, after acting for so long in multiple movies, Briar has grown exhausted of her fame and is tainted by the illusions of the Hollywood lifestyle. There's only one person that her heart tenderly recalls on a daily basis, and it's the one person she can't have.

Hi there! My name is Clara Salazar and welcome to my songbook! I've been wanting to be a singer/songwriter ever since I was 13 and wattpad has truly impacted me because before I got this app, I would've never realized this was what I was meant to do in life. Yep, I'm back with another songwriting era, this time a total contrast to the previous songwriting sessions of 'Faded Daydreams'. I'm personally reflecting upon the aftermath of when my ignorance was bliss, about how it all truly feels like once the daydreams fade and it turns out that it was all just Tainted Illusions to cope. Falling down from cloud 9 and into the total truth, to face a range of emotions I managed to push away and shove aside for four months. Perhaps it's time I face them in order to conclude that chapter of my life. When I found old song drafts from earlier this year, I figured that it would be cool to continue on that storyline and timeframe in order to personally put it behind once and for all.
