Josie thought the hardest part of falling in love with Nate was overcoming all the reasons why she shouldn't- would she, could she survive the trauma of another betrayal? Her fears were valid. The invisible scars her ex boyfriend left were deep, ragged and still bleeding. Josie swore she'd never open her heart to another cop again. But Nate was patient, steady, and impossible to ignore. Little by little, he quieted her fears and became the one exception she never meant to make. Until a forgotten morning alarm forced Josie to realize Nate may not be the man he promised to be. As old wounds begin to bleed again, she must decide if the ghosts of trauma past still hold power and whether trusting her heart to Nate cost her everything she fought so hard to walk away from. Josie will have to decide if the man who once asked her to dance beneath the stars deserved a second chance to heal her shattered heart.

She loved him loudly. He loved her quietly-only when it was convenient. Leah believed two years of love meant security, a future, a place she could finally call hers. Yet, every time it mattered, he chose someone else. A best friend. A familiar comfort. A silence that hurts more than betrayal. This is a story about emotional neglect, unspoken loyalties, and the slow realization that love without priority is a form of loss. It asks a difficult question: How long can you stay where you are never fully chosen?

She's at his gym to lose weight. He will do anything to make her his and keep her perfect as she is! Trigger warning: The original MMC humiliates FMC in a big way by being demeaning about her appearance in front of others. I, in no way condone ANY shaming of people based on physical traits and characteristics, or of people, in general! She will be getting a better MMC. ;) **MATURE CONTENT!! BE ADVISED. FOR 18+.

They said peace came with a price. For her, it came wrapped in a contract-escorted to a stranger's doorstep with nothing but her father's word and her country's wounds stitched into the hem of her wedding veil. She was not given, not chosen-surrendered. To him. Dimitri Moretti. The underboss. The ghost-eyed shadow who stood beside the Don, with blood on his hands and no love in his eyes. He didn't look at her like a bride. He looked at her like duty. Still, she tried. With trembling hands, she served his coffee. With hopeful eyes, she waited at the door. She stitched pieces of herself into his world-quiet, careful, never asking for more than he gave. And when he came home bloodied and bruised, she was there. Not because he wanted her- but because she chose to stay. And somewhere between his silence and her surrender, she fell in love with the man who never said it back. Then came the storm. The night the sky split open with lightning and truth. She found him- rain soaking through his clothes, lips tangled with her-the Don's sister. Desperation between their bodies like the thunder overhead. And when their eyes met across the downpour- There was nothing. No regret. No apology. Only his voice, cold and sharp through the storm. "I will always love her. But I can't give you a divorce." Her world didn't crack. It shattered. But she couldn't ask for freedom. Not then. Not when her marriage was a ceasefire between empires. Until fate offered her a loophole. A shootout. A rescue. And the Don, grateful and indebted, offered her his word-anything she wanted. She asked for freedom. Now? Now he won't let her go. Not because of duty. Not because of honor. Because of love. And if it comes to it- he won't hesitate to retaliate against the very man he swore to serve.

She came home early. She shouldn't have. Noa Reevse is a therapist. She spends her days sitting across from people in the worst moments of their lives, holding their pain with both hands, and sending them home better. She is very good at it. She is also, it turns out, very good at not looking too closely at her own. Until the afternoon, she opens a door she was never supposed to open. Fifteen seconds. That's all she records. That's all she needs. And then, a week later, she puts on a burgundy dress, walks into her husband's televised political forum, and raises her hand. She has the video. She never has to play it. His silence does the work for her. "Hurricane Season" is about what happens after the worst imaginable betrayal, after the divorce papers are filed, after the woman who taught everyone else how to survive the unsurvivable has to figure out how to do it herself. For readers who need their protagonist to be the storm.

Havenwood #2 What should your fiance do when you called him because you crashed his favourite car? Ask how are you, if you're hurt, if you called 911 and more concerned filled words. What did he say though? He exploded, frustratedly, without asking me if I was severely hurt. I wasn't then, but I got hurt by the man my car bumped with, who beat me up thoroughly bad, I fainted right after. I always knew he loved his cars more than anything, but his words wounded me more than the man who attacked me. And with one horrifying incident I could see things clearly now. Maybe I had mistaken value all along, thinking I mattered more than his cars.
