Bill put a free hand to the side of his eye as if it were an ear and said, "Sorry, what was that, Pine Tree? You said something?" Dipper froze up. He looked to his uncles, who had faces of fear and Ford had his hand wrapped tightly around Stan's arm. Dipper couldn't bear to look at him. He saw his sister, her eyes so wide. Her lower lip trembled. He saw tears in her eyes. "Speak up, kid," Bill made his voice boom. Finally, Dipper forced the words out his throat, "I want to make a deal with you."
