•••••••••••••••• He took a step closer to her, and she took one away from him. "When two people make love, it is sensual, two hearts bonding, and caring for one another. It's slow and gentle and undemanding. It's just you and the person you love, and nothing else in the world matters." She didn't know when he'd gotten so close to her, but her eyes burned as she read the slight expression that flashed across his own eyes... sorrow, as if perhaps remembering something, or someone from his past. She didn't know why it made her chest hurt, he was only a brute after all... •••••••••••••••• Set against the enchanting backdrop of mid-18th century England, "The Cadre of Embers" unfolds the extraordinary journey of Althea Lezant, a young and unmarried woman disillusioned by societal constraints on women. Althea's life takes an exhilarating turn when she discovers her unique ability to manipulate the fourth dimension. Upon first use of this newfound power, she is sought out by a hidden society of individuals with diverse abilities of their own. Driven by curiosity and a thirst for purpose, Althea delves into this enigmatic world, leaving behind the mundane pursuit of suitors. Within the society's embrace, she learns the intricacies of her magical abilities and the vastness of their universe. Yet, Althea senses that profound secrets still elude her, mysteries that might hold the key to her ultimate destiny. "The Cadre of Embers" is a spellbinding tale of love, empowerment, self-discovery, and the latent potential within us all. For those who yearn to escape the confines of ordinary existence, this is a journey you won't want to miss. Do you think a mere human can win against fate? You probably read a lot of stories where a reincarnated person succeeded as a villainess. Most reincarnated people were teenagers who had a sad life or maybe assassins who can fight or maybe geniuses. Some change and started being nice towards the heroine and capture targets. Some easily accepted the villainess role and turned the tables. The heroine becomes the villainess and the villainess became the heroine. Most villainess succeeded and change their destinies while others died. What about my story? Did I change my destiny? I did, accepted the role of a villainess without caring about the results. I tried to be as cunning as possible and become an enemy of both empires even though deep down I know I was scared. I was scared because I was just a teenager who got reincarnated in a world where both words and swords can behead someone. I wasn't a person who belongs in this world. I was merely an intruder. An intruder who knows everything and does nothing to change one's fate. [The picture isn't mine so credits to the owner] Also, expect some grammatical errors. English is not my native language-- it would be quite helpful if you point out some mistakes. Some contents contained things that might be uncomfortable with readers such as gore, death and the talk about beliefs.

The main character always ends up with the male lead? Even if they're backstabbing, evil, and cruel, they will live happily ever after just because they are the main character? Even if they're so innocent that they cause countless deaths, they will still be treated with love and respect, with everyone groveling at their feet to help them. Well, the readers have agreed to disagree with this thought. It's about time to revolt! Alright then, we just need someone to destroy the main character. We need to take away the main character's golden thigh. Since that's the case, we need to Steal The Male Lead. AN: Hello everyone, so this is going to be my third book ever written on Wattpad. I've actually had plans for this book for a while and I also have many ideas for the other arcs but, please enjoy the book, and I will try to keep a constant update on it. *If any of the photos are yours or you know that the artist of the photos or characters don't want it up, please comment down right away so that I can delete it. The Odyssey (Greek: Ὀδύσσεια Odýsseia] in Classical Attic) is one of two major ancient Greek epic poems attributed to Homer. It is, in part, a sequel to the Iliad, the other work ascribed to Homer. The Odyssey is fundamental to the modern Western canon, and is the second-oldest extant work of Western literature; the Iliad is the oldest. Scholars believe the Odyssey was composed near the end of the 8th century BC, somewhere in Ionia, the Greek coastal region of Anatolia. The poem mainly focuses on the Greek hero Odysseus (known as Ulysses in Roman myths), king of Ithaca, and his journey home after the fall of Troy. It takes Odysseus ten years to reach Ithaca after the ten-year Trojan War. In his absence, it is assumed Odysseus has died, and his wife Penelope and son Telemachus must deal with a group of unruly suitors, the Mnesteres (Greek: Μνηστῆρες) or Proci, who compete for Penelope's hand in marriage.

The Iliad (sometimes referred to as the Song of Ilion or Song of Ilium) is an ancient Greek epic poem in dactylic hexameter, traditionally attributed to Homer. Set during the Trojan War, the ten-year siege of the city of Troy (Ilium) by a coalition of Greek states, it tells of the battles and events during the weeks of a quarrel between King Agamemnon and the warrior Achilles. The Iliad is paired with something of a sequel, the Odyssey, also attributed to Homer. Along with the Odyssey, the Iliad is among the oldest extant works of Western literature, and its written version is usually dated to around the 8th century BC. Recent statistical modelling based on language evolution gives a date of 760-710 BC.
