"Back Into the Wild" picks up at the finale of Season 2, and continues on to what Season 3 might have been. After Leah is reunited with her friends and meets the boys, they all quickly realize their ordeal is far from over. They must adjust to life on the new island, and find ways not only to survive, but also to escape the twisted experiment. New friendships and relationships form, and while some bonds strengthen, others break. This story is canon-compliant and stays as true to the pre-established natures and personalities of the characters as possible.

Since the wilds got cancelled i decided to write out what I think would've been the outcome of LEATIN :') This takes place immediately after the events from S2 (keep in mind this is mainly focused on Leah and Fatin only. I could write out the entirety of season 3 if you guys want me to tho!)

Toni wished for a never-ending OG pasta bowl before she could go back to her real life. Fatin desired to move to L.A. and become a digital influencer. Rachel Reid could still dream about making it to Stanford and the Olympics. Leah and Martha sought for connections while Shelby, Dot and Nora wanted purpose. But what would they really get after their time on the Island? How do they deal with learning that their losses were staged for unethical purposes? This story picks up immediately after the events of Season 2 with one major change: there are no boys on this (sorry, not sorry). This fic is my take on what Season 3 could have been. It initiates from Toni's perspective and, as the story unfolds, the scope broadens. There may be some overlapping with series such as "The L word", "The L Word Gen Q", and other LA-based series. English isn't my first language so there may be some mistakes here and there (I'll try my best to avoid them, though)

But there's a problem with name, surname and a somewhat tempestuous personality, Toni Shalifoe. Fortunately, there's also a solution with a bright smile and a Texan accent.

"Wait." Fatin halts in the middle of the living room. She points her flashlight up at the ceiling. "Do you hear that?" Leah strains her ears, and picks up on the faint sound of rhythmic thumping upstairs. "Yeah." Leah chews on her lip, a nervous tick. "Not sure what it is, though." Fatin hums thoughtfully, placing a finger to her lips. This is the most effort she's put into the investigation so far. Leah raises an eyebrow. Maybe working together won't be so bad afterall.
