What are you doing here all alone? I was going crazy looking for you for the last fifteen minutes. What the hell, Ella? You know I hate it when you disappear on me like that." Jerking me towards him, he caught me in a very tight hug, almost cutting off my air. "Hey, did you just sniff me?" I gasped. "I did. Your smell calms me," Mason husked. Pushing him away, I looked up at him. "Your heart is racing," I rasped as I placed my hand on his chest, feeling the hard plane of his chest under the smooth fabric of his shirt. "Were you really panicked?" I smiled mischievously. "What if one day I leave you?" Before I could finish the sentence, he had me pinned against the wall, his head buried in my hair. "I would find you even if I had to go to the pit of hell," he said. "And what if you can't find me?" I asked. "I will kill myself because I can't imagine a world without you by my side," he replied without hesitation. My husband loves me. Even when his family pressured him to choose. He chose me, he chose us. After 10 years of marriage, when I couldn't give him the family we had dreamed of under the starry sky, with his head resting on my lap, he never once made me feel inadequate or less. We were enough for each other until her. The evidence was devastating: late-night "work" calls that lingered too long, hotel receipts, photos that made my stomach drop. When did he let go of my hand? When did he break the promises he made with me? He hasn't changed; he still can't keep his hands to himself, he still looks at me with the same intensity, same passion, same love. So why? Why did he do it? I always believed our love was different-untouchable, forged in the kind of devotion that poets write about and time cannot erode. But I guess I was wrong. #Strongfemale #Owdrama #Cheating #Marriageintrouble #Affair #Betrayal #Possessive #Jealoushero

In emergency medicine, the golden hour is the crucial sixty-minute window after a traumatic injury-the brief span of time when the right care can mean the difference between survival and loss. Dr. Mason Carpenter lives for that hour. At St. Mary's Trauma Center, he is the golden boy of the Emergency Department. He's brilliant and calm under pressure. He's addicted to the adrenaline, the thrill, the absolute rush of saving patients knocking on death's door. At home, he's a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart - the love of his life - Honey. Or, he used to be. Honey Carpenter has loved Mason since they were fourteen, since he was the gangly boy with hearts in his eyes who stumbled through asking her out for ice cream. She stood beside him through medical school, residency, crushing debt, sleepless nights, and every sacrifice it took to build the life they dreamed about. Now she is pregnant with their first child. And Mason is married to his work. He's missing ultrasound appointments, the gender reveal, the baby shower, and, most importantly, he's not there to support Honey - who's having an incredibly difficult first pregnancy. Honey feels her husband is drifting farther and farther away into the ED, and no matter how many times she tries to tell him she is lonely, exhausted, and afraid, Mason gives her the same answer. "They need me." But Honey needs him too. As her pregnancy progresses, her loneliness twists into something darker, but her doctor dismisses her symptoms as "first-time mom jitters." And her husband is too busy saving strangers to see his own wife fading away. Until Honey collapses at home and is rushed into Mason's emergency room, fighting for her life and their daughter's. Now Mason has to reckon with what he was chasing, what he ignored, and what it may cost him - the woman he loves more than anything. And he can't lose Honey. He won't survive it. 💛 Second Chance 💛 Marriage In Trouble 💛 No Cheating

She waited at the altar. But he never came. The flowers wilted before the vows. The whispers started before the tears could fall. She stood there alone, wrapped in lace and disbelief, while the man she loved hid behind silence and shame. He couldn't marry a girl with a burnt face-not when his reputation bled so easily under scrutiny. Not when her scars told a story he didn't want written beside his name. He didn't even come to say goodbye. What followed was not heartbreak. It was humiliation. A broken wedding. A family that looked away. Eyes that pitied her like she was the ruin, not the survivor. So she left. Being alone felt kinder than staying where love came with conditions. Then she met him. He was quiet when the world was loud. Calm, though the storm lived in his eyes. A man with hands that didn't flinch at her scars, who spoke to her not like she was broken, but like she was still becoming. He wasn't the man anyone sent to save her. In fact, he was the one everyone warned her about. The disgrace. The black sheep. And yet, it was his voice that steadied her. His strength that carried her through hospital hallways, plastic surgery rooms, and sleepless nights that left her gasping. He never asked for her past-he only offered her a future. He loved her without flinching. Not for her beauty. But for her fire. With him, she didn't just heal-she rebuilt. Not into the girl she once was, but into a woman with steel in her spine and grace in her silence. when she returned-when her skin had mended and her eyes no longer begged for kindness-the man who left her at the altar came crawling back. Suddenly, he could see her again. But it was too late. Because standing beside her was the man who never left. The one who gave her his soul when she thought she had none left to give. And when their eyes met, she finally understood: She was never his to lose. She had always belonged to the other brother. Cover photo courtesy of Vecteezy.com

We were friends with benefits. Reed would stop by every time he was in Anchorage, and that was the extent of things, although I started to want more. Then he ended our arrangement, and I suspected there was another woman, but it wasn't until I overheard a conversation that I understood completely. He thought I was calling and texting because I couldn't take no for an answer. That wasn't my problem at all. Two blue lines were.
