Charlie Martinez works for the Moennig family. Katherine, who goes by Kate, Audrey, Lily, and Anthony. Kate and Audrey have been wives for 10 years. Lily is Kate biological child who is 5 years old, and Anthony, who is 7 years old, is Audrey's biological child. Both children came from the same donor. Kate owns hotels and Audrey is a lawyer. Kate and Audrey's marriage and relationship has run its course but they are still holding on to something they can never get back. Katherine is 35 years old and Charlie is 21. Kate knows Audrey is cheating on her but Audrey will never admit to it even though the phone bill and records will say otherwise. They stay together for the kids, but is it worth sacrificing a life of happiness with other people? As Kate and Charlie get closer due to the babysitting job, Katherine realizes someone is out there, even if she is younger. Kate notices Charlie's downcast behavior one evening and asks her why she she looks so heartbroken. Kate assumes Charlie is upset because she likes someone who doesn't like her back. Kate already knows it's a woman. Kate starts pushing Charlie to describe this mystery woman, but catches on that Charlie is talking about her. Kate's family does find it odd that she'd go for someone significantly younger. Charlie's mom think it's wrong and deplorable she'd go for a married woman with children who is 14 years older. She thinks she's interfering with something that can be fixed, but Kate has made up her mind to divorce Audrey to be with someone who makes her happy and treats the kids like a mother should.
