Rem's never known much about his biological parents, just that his mother overdosed soon after he was born and his father's a no-show dirtbag. He's content to keep that part of his life buried, content to believe his adoptive mothers are the only parents he's ever had. When Billi decides she's ready to pursue her dream of running an in-home daycare, it means kicking Rem out, causing a huge rift between them. She says it's because they need more room, but Rem knows better. Knows it's got nothing to do with space and everything to do with them thinking Rem's a shitty influence to keep around. Their adoption of four-year-old Ramona soon after is all the proof he needs. But Rem's got no job, and even if he did, he'd have zero chances of keeping it for long. So room 69 at at the Warren Creek Motel becomes a temporary home for Rem, paid for in pocket change and whatever Oliver can spare to cover what Rem can't. Until Ross comes around begging for a second chance at fatherhood almost twenty-four years too late. Secrets uttered under Ross's roof bring out a dark and dangerous side of Ross that jeopardizes Rem's life ... and no one knows just where Rem is being kept, nor why he hasn't been answering phone calls in weeks.

What do you do when your kids include a giant wolf, a sea serpent, and a half-dead girl? Loki is a trickster god, shapeshifter, and sometimes morally-gray villain. But they love their weird, monstrous children. So when a prophecy reveals their existence to Odin, he has no choice but to hide them in a time and place nearly forgotten by the gods: A quaint and horrifically-ordinary suburban town. But this new world is different, with its PTO bake sales and angry soccer parents. Loki's children have to make some big changes to remain undetected, and the Father of Monsters and Mother of Evil might be in a little over her head. Because the gods are looking for them, and they'll stop at nothing to lock those horrid, horrid things away. So, after doing some thinking, I've decided to take down "Those Horrid, Horrid Things" from Wattpad at the start of 2023, save for possibly one or two updated chapters. It wasn't an easy decision to make, especially with all the lovely comments I've received from readers, but it seems to be the most appropriate move as I further edit the story and make plans to possibly publish it in some way.

Neo Hyde & his friends find themselves in the middle of some sort of cult targeting them+their families. He works with old & new friends to figure out what happened to his birth parents AND his adopted parents. [DISCLAIMER: This is a really rough draft of the book & is still in the process of being written.] [Also I wrote the prologue & first 3 chapters in 10th grade so theyre kinda cringe] Long chapters [generally] slow updates. WARNING: This book contains violence, blood, etc.

🏆Wattys 2019 Winner for Mystery & Thriller🏆 Sister Mary has lost her way, or so people think. Kicked out of her convent and sent away to be reformed, this jolly nun discovers her gift of glee is perfect for solving murders and the occasional naughty peek. ________________________________________ Merry Sister Mary is the world's most happy-go-lucky nun, and where the nuns are concerned, possibly the worst. She has none of the qualities reserved for a traditional lady of the cloth: a fear of water, an odd relationship with an umbrella, and no talent in teaching or nursing, yet Sister Mary believes she has a special God given power, laughter. Such a belief has led her to be kicked out of her convent in Chicago for accidentally flashing a group of churchgoers and deemed in desperate need of reform. She is sent on a bus to a stricter convent in New Orleans, Louisiana, but in a drama fueled twist, God has different plans for the joyous nun. She is to solve a murder. After missing the bus Sister Mary is forced to seek refuge with a Catholic family in the small town of St. Francisville. A horrific murder occurs sending the town into a frenzy of bittersweet joy. The person killed has long been despised and so named the Stanton Witch for the mystery surrounding her husband's death and the decades of misfortune since her arrival. In an effort to expose the truth, Sister Mary finds herself in the middle of one family's terrible and insidious secret. As the bodies pile up she uses her gift of glee to uncover the clues missed by the police and hopefully stop the killer from claiming another innocent victim. Her goal-- prove to the world once and for all that one does not need to be traditional to make a difference. 【her eyes gleam with violence, her saccharine tongue singing of her myriad virtues; and in the light of the waning moon, she is an exploding star, burning up the sins of her soul】 _______________ Makatza Naudé is infamous for being undaunted by the Fair Folk ― at the tender age of 17, she is the bravest person in the village. After a jarring encounter with a strange faerie woman, Makatza's prized lyre, the last remnant of her father, is snatched away from her. The only way to retrieve it is making a deal with a faerie knight, which means letting go of her morals and committing treason. But are the consequences really worth an old musical instrument made of memories? Only time will tell.

Everything has an origin story. A spooky town settled in a dried up lake bed, off the beaten path, idyllic and just this side of wrong; a town built on urban legends and folklore, on nightmares and unease, on one man's mistakes that trickle through the ages. A small town too caught up in each other's business to notice what's rising under their feet. Elijah's just lucky enough to be at the epicenter.

There's been a monster in the mirror since Ollie was eleven, and he only knows one thing: it despises the color yellow. So, when a truly terrible tragedy involving a spork and a too-long flight of stairs leaves him eyeless, and he's sent down the street to Magdalena's Emporium of the Weird & Wonderful to get a new pair, he knows just what color to choose. But the eyes are more than he bargained for. Ollie starts seeing death in everyone he touches, and the crotchety storekeeper, Susan, holds firm in her No Returns Accepted store policy. Ollie does what any reasonable twenty-something already drowning in insurmountable college debt with no fear of any god (capitalist or otherwise) would do and hires the best lawyer in town to force her hand. Well-versed in the matters of arguing, the lawyer thinks they have a real chance of winning on the grounds that, although these new eyes may be weird, they certainly aren't wonderful. As the legal proceedings develop, Ollie realizes that everyone he knows and loves is destined to die on the same day-a day that's only a matter of weeks away-and he might be the only one who can save them from the unfathomable cosmic entity that's sure to kill them.
